BAR M14 receivers

I feel bad hijacking another members thread and decided to start this one

Even though I am sad the GWLA company went out so quickly I am optimistic that there is another manufacturer rising from the ashes

Good luck Art and Rip in this monumental task.

Thanks from Tommo, XM25Ren, Wwestbro and 1 others

I agree with the OP. I wish them the best of luck. With the passing of a company, a new one is born. Hopefully, this one lasts. I agree with others, it must be a tough market to be in without a defense contract or a mirid of other weapons to sell next to a M14 just for exposure. The reality is our niche forum comprises of a good number of the customers that will pay the money for a forged receiver...at least, that's my guess.

I hope they do well. I think it will take a couple years to start to break even or turn a profit if they do not have anything different to offer because of the already established companies with proven products and customer service.

If they make a high quality receiver at a competitive price, I will consider them for my next receiver. I hope they offer custom heel stamps like GWLA did. Customization will help their sale in my opinion, because nobody else does it.

Is it to early to ask about a forum group buy?

Could be interesting but likely be a while before any hit the market.

I believe his first 300 will be with his B.A.R. heel stamp, after that he want to take on the custom heel stamps.

I think these will be worth waiting for. I still have two more GWs receivers to build up, so waiting for these will be just fine.

Rip originally referred me to Gun Works.

He also provided me with my first USGI parts kit.

I hope something works out for them.
