I don't view it as having "made a fool of myself." Several others share my opinion of the workmanship on these receivers. I extended my good wishes to the OP regarding his project and clearly stated I was not criticizing him. View my comments as you wish, but no one on this forum, gentleman or not, is entitled to tell others to shut up and move along, particularly when their only supposed justification is that they do not like what I said.

Lets face it this is a " niche " with in a " niche " when it comes to building a faithful reproduction of our beloved M14 Rifle, some of us just care about having US GI parts , some have to have all GI Parts that were Maker Marked from one Maker ( Springfield , H&R , Winchester , TRW ) some of us go way out and source NIW Maker Parts that 99.9 % of us couldn't tell by looking at the part who made it ? but then you can say well my M14 has ALL correct parts like it did when it left the Factory. I think for some of us the JRA Receiver fill's that " niche " in our collection with out draining our bank account buying a Real M14.

Will Post more Pic's as she goes together...

P.S. If anyone has a Springfield Heal they can part with let me know...

Thanks !!

SARCASM, of course they do. No one would weld a heat treated receiver , change its integrity by introducing heat, and not welded. These guys are top notch and do everything by the book.
Thanks for the reply! Overtime I think we've all seen the "shortcut" guys and we all end up stuck with the product. The GI tail definitely has the cool factor...glad to hear James River is top drawer.......

Wow... wow. I have the same op-rod, hammer, and safety. My sight base has "H&RB9" stamped into it. I wonder what the difference between a B2 and a B9 is?

I did not know WCE was a subcontractor for H&R. I have the same WCE elevation knob, but my windage knob is also a WCE.
