M-14 Cheekrest

Does anyone know what kind of cheekrest is shown on the picture of the Marine with the scoped and pistol-gripped M-14 in the "M-14 in Iraq" thread? Looks cool and I would like to get one. BTW I am a newbie to the forum and I love my M1A. I have had some problems with my 3rd Gen SA mount though. Incidentally, does anyone know how good or bad the SA ART IV scope is?
thanks

Not quite sure "exactly" what brand he has but quite a few fellers here are going with member rooster33s' version which almost looks the same. Just got mine the other day. Their durable and easy to install.

You can find his cheekrest here CHEEKREST

Can't help ya with the scope as I don't know that much about them but someone here will be along shortly to help answer your question.

"Welcome" to the board and hope to see you around often.

The stock is a McMillan M2A stock for the M14/M1A rifles. The cheek rest is standard on this stock.

edill69,

Welcome to the firing line, itís good to have you here.

Like skullboy pointed out, that cheek rest is a McMillan product. Those cheekrests from Rooster33 look righteous though. Iím real curious to hear what some of the board members think of them. Might have to get one for myself. SixT, do you have a price on those cheekrests?

As for the scope mounts and scopes, I prefer the Smith Enterprise mount and Leupold scopes, everything works just right.

Best regards, T
