AR500 steel popper target
I'm considering buying an AR500 steel popper target from AR500-Targets.com and I was wondering if anyone here has ever done business with them. This is the target I'm thinking about buying:

Also check out MGM Targets. Great people to deal with.
I bought a 10" and a 6" 3/8 A500 round target from a guy on ebay. Paid $54 for the pair and free shipping. They are great targets!
I'd purchased an AP500 target from Weidners about a year ago. So far it's worked fine for hand gun shooting, have not tried rifle yet. Only problem is the relatively small size; about 8" x 12" or so.
It's labeled as 1/2" "AR 500 Brinell" steel. Do any of you metal experts know exactly what that is? Is it a specific alloy mixture or more of a "trade name" ? Reason I'm asking is I'd like to get a much larger (say about 24" square) plate made of either this or a similar material. It would probably be somewhat cost prohibitive to have it shipped so I was thinking of asking at local metal shops. Thanks for any info.

He uses a waterjet to cut the steel. He just got his website up, but I'd just give him a call.
