I like the web sling. I've only competed at the local matches, but was always able to sling in plenty tight with the web type sling. Use what is comfortable to you. If your not comfortable you will not shoot well. JMO.

I have the Turner NM in biothane. Very impressed with both the quality of the sling and the biothane material.

There are plenty of master and high master class HP shooters that use the web sling because it works better for them.

And they use it tight.

Count me in for the les Tam slings also. Beautifully made to your specs. Price not too bad considering it's made just for you and his turn around time isn't too bad.

Plus he's a great guy to deal with.

Best Sling

I have used both the 1907 sling and the standard web sling. Personally I prefer the 1907, but the web is good too. Strong, durable and easier/quicker to get into a "loop sling". The biothane CMSHOOT mentioned intrigues me though. hmmmmm, must try one.

Are the biothane slings legal to use in JCG matches?

Pick either the leather 1907 or the web sling and practice. You'll do just fine with either.

I have used both and my rifles have both. I will say that I prefer leather for just about everything that leather can be used for because, it's leather!!!.

I haved used all three and so should everyone else. All great options. Les is a master and his oversized keepers are unmatched. I sling so tight that my left hand goes numb which stretches the heck out of my slings, so I typically use the turner. And anything GI is worth ten dollars. Get em all.
