Over the holidays I was able to complete a few more M14 builds. Had been waiting on some Saco-Lowell NM pattern Criterion barrels from Treeline for my last four, but bought two, like-new USGI barrels from a local forum member. Turned out pretty nice. I am now completing some accuracy mods on these. Did it ever feel great to have some time to spend in the shop.
Light was right to catch a few good pics this evening so I though to share them with everyone. The readership here has made the assembly process possible for me. Thanks again. Enjoy.....
Build #1
SAI pre-ban receiver 74k
NOS TRW bolt
USGI SAK barrel (MW 0 TE 1)
SAK op-rod
HRA trigger group and rear sights
USGI Sykes M14 stock
This M14 build is all HRA parts less the receiver.
Build #2
Fulton Armory reeciver
HRT bolt
USGI HRA barrel (MW 0 TE 1)
HRA op-rod
HRA trigger group and rear sights
USGI HRA M14 stock - notice additional relief behind the trigger group
Very nice builds! Is that Fulton a current one? I like the looks of the park, very USGI look. I'm interested in ordering one of their receivers with the Krieger m39 barrel for my sage.
That top stock #1 build is an outstanding example and is beautiful. I prefer the parts on #2 both are very nice with quality craftsmanship applied to the builds . And thank you to forum members these builds are also a reflection of the forum community and I salute you all.
Damn, I was busy eating turkey over the holiday weekend and could have been doing something constructive like this!
Nice build, glad you spent your holiday doing more than stuffing your face like I was doing.

Wife is a nurse and worked a few shifts over the holidays. No travel possible to see family. While the little one napped and slept I was twisting on barrels, fitting ORGs, performing trigger mods, and jammin' out. I also assembled and headspaced three M1 Garand B/Rs. I don't care too much for TV.
Infrared baby monitors rock.
