All kidding aside...the fun part remains. Some serious trigger time and tweaking to get the most accuracy out of them. These, unfortunately, will have to get in line.

To index my barrels, I originally used magnetic angle finders and the receiver flat behind the rear sight and the top of the flash hider sight dovetail. Not the best procedure, but it does work. Tends to under index the barrels in my hands.

On Art's (nf1e), 82nd AB, and others suggestions I bought the Badger Ordnance Receiver/Barrel Timing Gages from Brownell's together with a Harbor Freight Digital Angle Finder. I now get my indexing down to less than 0.3 degrees or the error of the digital angle finder. I also check to confirm with a Starrett 135A bubble level, so I get it down to basically 0.1 degree of variance. The Starrett bubble level is my final confirmation and I get it matched perfectly. This was a suggestion and method employed by Lapriester on the CMP Forum. I got this check from him.

Then it's time to finish ream or check headspace if using USGI chrome-lined barrel as these are. I finish ream using .308 Win Manson reamers and pull through with a Starrett tap handle.
