I have no idea if it's the best or not since it's the only one I've used, but I have one made by, I believe it's Blackhawk, that seems pretty good. It's padded and covered with what looks like neoprene, has two straps that go underneath and one around the back. It was a little over $20 and is well made. There are probably better ones out there but for the money I don't think it can be beat.

Not sure how good it'll be, but I'm getting one from TNVC.com

I'm partial to my SEI cheekrest... cordura... camouflaged... and removable (has straps).

Hands down....TacPro!!! The most useful and versatile.

Oh, and it does everything they claim. I have one, love it, and would not ever consider any other cheekrest; especially a bag type one. Why people buy strap on bag cheekrests is beyond me; I would have to guess they don't know about the tacpro and NO, I do not work for nor get $$ from them. I just love their product.

KyAggie... you do realize some of us prefer to keep our stocks (in my case a nicely finished Walnut stock) otherwise "untouched"... right?

Not everyone has EBR's around here...

I like the one made by Traid Tactical. It has three straps and a loop on the back. Very secure.

I just got three risers from http://www.cheeknstock.com/products.html They are made hand made from deer hide, look awesome on rifles, and can be ordered in any height you need.

bjarne, don't know what to say. I used to use a short piece of 1/14 in radiator hose taped on with camoflage tape. That worked fine, but adhesive seemed to take the finish off my rifles.
