Success at the Gun Show!!!

Went to the local gun show this weekend and scored some M14 stuff.

USGI Fiberglass Stock with Metal Butt Plate - $40
50 Rounds Lake City 7.62 GI Ammo - $20
Condor Molle Rifle Scabbard - $30

Stuff I passed over....

USGI Bayonett w/Sheath - $80
USGI 20 rd Mag - $40
UTG Tactical Bi-Pod - $50

Didn't see many M14 Rifles this time... couple brand new M1A's for around $1300-1500 and a couple of pre-ban M1A's w/USGI parts for $1700-2000. No Poly's or Noricos...

I'm overall happy with my purchases

Sounds like some good purchases. At a little show near here a couple of weeks ago I was able to pick up a collector-grade H&R Garand that the owner received in 2002 and never fired. It's complete with box and shipping document. I chose between this little show and a 300 table one put on by Kehrli about an hour further away. Decent ammo prices seem to be a thing of the past.

It's great when you score good deals at the fun shows. With all liberals in NY the shows are mostly selling jerky and fantasy swords. I frequent the shows in Pa & NC.

Thats where I usually get the good deals on Mags & Ammo!!!

I've found that the best asset at shows is an understanding wife. When I leave for one, she knows that it will shoot the day because I will spend it looking at every interesting item in the place, either moving or stationary. If I ever came home with any money whatsoever, she'd suspect that I had done something other than going to a gun show.

Thanks from Gus Fisher

Some great deals! I paid $120. for my USGI fiberglass stock a few months ago. It was completely redone nicely in black, but still a little more than I wanted to spend. Glad you got some deals at the show, it's getting tougher these days.

This stock definately needs some work, but even after I clean it up, glass bed it, and paint it I couldn't pass it up.
