| Archangel Promag - Dropping in a SA M1A Loaded
I would like to start off by saying I was really impressed with the stock right out of the box. I already expected to do a little work with the stock to get it to fit correctly, honestly enjoyable. Took me two hours to sand and file, I definitely babied the process because I did not want to make a mistake. Here are some pics!
pic 1) Rounded the straight edges for smoother slide in fit
pic 2) Removed 1/4" to get a snug fit for the receiver
pic 3) Handguard was tight, filed a little for better fit
pic 4) Filed the bottom as well for better handguard fit
pic 5) Filed the most here, removed a good chunk to get the trigger guard to fit tightly
After filing I sanded these areas down and oiled the same spots, you would never notice the filing job.

Now we need a range report. I got one of them and was going to install it on my Poly M14 and my youngest son seized it to install on his Scout.

You need to install a stock ferrel off of an old GI stock... The front band will dig into the stock if you don't

You said that was a standard??
Now, hit up CePilot.
Talk him into working your trigger group and unitizing that GC.
My standard, in a SAI wood stock, gets 1moa all day long.

Filed down a little at a time on the trigger guard. Mine was really tight at first, eventually filed to a spot that the trigger guard clicked right in with minimal tension. The trigger guard took me the most amount of sanding. Goodluck.

Raised to my comfortable shooting position (three clicks up) and was very solid. I'd say less recoil, the stock is heavier than a standard fiberglass or wood.
I have my eye on the Sage EBR stock, unfortuantely I'm not at liberty to spend $700 on one yet. The Archangel was a quick solution and Ive been nothing but impressed with it so far. Yeah fitting it may be a hassle, but it didn't bother me at all, I actually enjoyed doing it.
I highly recommend it!

| Archangel AAM1A 100 meter accuracy test
Noticed the thread and thought I'd chime in. I just posted an accuracy test on YouTube that we shot last week in Vegas. It was very windy, but the video speaks for itself. If you are using a current Springfield production rifle, NO SANDING OR FILING SHOULD BE NECESSARY except for a possible VERY SMALL amount from the trigger pads. Actions with additional lugs (I.E. some National Match or Supermatch) and M14's with the select fire lever will require the needed pockets or clearances to be cut. I will post another video tomorrow that shows correct EASY installation on a Standard M1A and a Scout.
