Cheek rest for m1a1

Any suggestions or experiences with cheek rests? Looking to put one on N.M. with a Brooksfield Precision Tool mount. Any input would be appreciated, just getting started. Thanks

I have the same setup as you and I recently got a SEI stock riser and like it so far. Part # 2014 Tall Tactical Strap-On Cheek Piece

http://www.smithenterprise.com/products12.html

I will report how well I like it after I take it shooting this weekend.

It is a little pricy but it is a nice firm cheek piece that strap's around the stock 4 times. 3 around the stock and 1 around the butt. It does stay in place like I said I will know more after I put it through some paces.

I have a few TNVC risers. They are very stable and mine have nice data pockets.

I seconded the leather cheekpad from Cheek-N-Stock. Virgil will custom build the pad to your Specs. You call him, give him your measurements and he will have it to you within a week. To measure the height of the pad you need, use a rolled up newspaper, then measure the diameter.

Dang I forgot to report back.

The Smith item worked perfect. It is nice and firm it also did not shift around while shooting. I fired around 100 rounds I am very satisfied.
