Bipod?

I know I'll probably get some flak for this, but does anyone have anything to say about the Harris clone Winchester bipods they sell at Wal-mart?

Pretty tempting for half the price.

BlackHawk Bipods

The Walmart brand bipod is better than no bipod...but just barely. Try the Black Hawk Bipods sold at Academy, Dick's Sporting goods, Cabelas. Same construction ,design, operation as the Harris, but less price. If your life or a hunting trip depends on the bipod, buy the Harris.

And if you are a guy that wants to put a 'dedicated' bipod on multiple rifles, or even on handguns...
Harris Bipods are good, and if you do careful research you can often find them discounted...
But, it is also true, that for most applications, a bipod can be quickly and painlessly switched from one platform to another!
So, consider buying a super-strong, super-sold GG&G Extreme Heavy Duty Bipod, and never look back!

It's better than nothing. But it's like comparing something made in China to USA. Just doesn't cut it.

No issues with either of the ones we have on AR15's. Then again, we don't drop them, kick them, bounce them off rocks, etc. We just use them to support the front of the rifle when shooting.

I run a Harris clone from Wally world, and yep.. it's better than nothing for now. It's kinda hard for me to load the bi-pod forward always fearing it'll snap off or something, but you get what you pay for...
If your gonna spend or save up for a nice one.. save big and get an Atlas-bipod. That's what I'm saving up for now....

Atlas is backlogged so it will take getting it from another source which will run another $50 so I am looking at GG&G

If a person really wants an Atlas you can find one. They're the best I've ever had, and glad I got it.
