That is a very old version. I think there are 3 updates since then that probably doubled the page count and information.

I would recommend coughing up the $5 for the download of the 5th edition:

Different

There are ONLY two web sites on the Internet that I have authorized to post freebie copies of M14 Rifle History and Development, the Miami, OH Rifle and Pistol Club and M14.ca. Any other web site that posts my work for free is violating copyright protection. The current Text Only version of M14 Rifle History and Development is 720 pages (see link posted by Cass).

I am really impressed by the text only version of Lee Emerson's work and will be saving for a hard copy - Meantime, I urge anyone who has not already done so to go to the above link at LuLu and buy the basic 2012 edition for a whopping FIVE BUCKS !!! That is a real buddy buddy deal, and the flow of information will really please you and in a weeks time put you on par with Bill Ricca on virtually everything concerning the M14, whether military or commercial ---- Including parts suppliers in Communist China and the Republic of Taiwan !!!

Now how 'bout that?
