M14 cutaway

I just picked up an M14 cutaway rifle at a local gun show. I have done some research on the net without finding anything out. Anyone out there have any information? There are no markings on the rifle excep for a mark on the stock.

Thanks

Yes, it is a wall hanger. Now I need a machinist buddy to cutaway a mag for it.

I was out of of state attending training. I noticed a gun show was going on this weekend so I went to kill some time. Now I need to figure out how to get it back home. I do not think I will mess with TSA so I may be shipping it back. I received some stares as I entered my Hotel with it.

Unless you want to buy a hard sided, lockable case you probably should ship it. And yes, who knows what kind of grief TSA will give you!

For fun!

I think you should take it as carry on, it is totally non functional, it would be fun, just give yourself about 3-4 hours to get trhough security.

Jim
A couple of weeks ago it took me an hour and a half delay while TSA inspected a 10/22 bull barrel in my checked bag.

That's why I said 3-4 hours, I bet you could get it on, just be a PITA.
Would make for a very interesting security check. HeHe.
