I waited 13 months for a Peerless. While I would never do that again, it's one of the best shooting rifles I have. Don't know about there quality now but I have an upper I order from them received it in the time frame I was told and it too is a shooter.

Thanks from mic52

I too have nothing but solid experience with Clint McKee as well. Every. Single. Time. My first M1A a F/A bought back in 2005 when he had full USGI stock when they were selling with both hands and a foot. I was told not to hound him for delivery and would be very pleased with the build. And I was. Took at that time about 5 mos. after promising 6. The ONLY negative I ever heard were the GEN1 bolts which he seemed to secure real quick though never heard who his supplier was for those. The GEN2's are supposed to rival USGI. When he built mine he used a NOS TRW bolt, SA Op-Rod which sure looked NOS as did the all OM trigger group. I've talked to him on the phone always gracious never rushed. Many random parts orders AR and M1A since always delivered within 7-8 business days. Quality stuff. Excellent fitment.
Only thing strange is he doesn't tag the rifle's headspace. I asked him last July off my s/n and Clint told me he doesn't keep that dimension per s/n, but as I posted earlier in another thread it's likely 1.632-.633 or Very close as he at that time told me he builds for NATO 7.62x51 as well as .308. Glad I found out because for years played it safe shoot only NATO stamped 7.62. I've shot a lot of off the shelf .308 150-168 gr. since avoiding hotter spec'd numbers that would maybe bang my Op-Rod more than I want. Zero problems. Wouldn't hesitate to buy one again even though F/A rcvr. is cast.

Peerless M1

I've been giving that Peerless M1 they offer some serious consideration. That would be the 1st Garand I've ever owned.

Fulton Armory

The Fulton Armory rifles I have shot over the years were all accurate and operated smoothly, without problems. I have purchased parts and accessories over the years from Fulton Armory without a hitch. I would not hesitate to do business with this company.

Ditto what he said. They put together a great rifle at a very premium price. The CMP custom shop will put you together a great rifle at a great price.

Some years ago attended a large gathering/meeting with guest speaker on human relations and at the outset of the seminar he asked the entire group to raise their hand when they thought a minute had expired. Told not to count, don't look at your watch, just estimate when that 60 seconds was over. Attendance at the meeting was over 100 folks and far more than half raised their hands, others followed later and once all had done as asked, the speaker told us the majority of hands raised were less than 30 seconds! He reminded us that our generation and current as well watch a lot of TV and programs have people born, go to school, become employed(at least some of us,) get married, have children, retire and die all in the time span of 1 hour! I am as guilty as others, anxious to see results, receive whatever we have purchased, but in reality we all should slow down a bit and enjoy the time allotted to us on this planet. As pointed out a Peerles Grade Fulton M1 Garand took over a year, but result was one of the finest of it's kind available, like cheese and fine wine, takes time. Just a thought.

While they are proud of there work and they are priced accordingly. I will admit they make great shooters. if you compare to say LRB's web site you will see there's not that much difference when you compare apples to apples. Now with Springfield you would save more money and you may or may not get a good shooter. To pump a Springfield up to the same level you would wind up spending as much anyway. When you compare Fulton to other custom builders there really a fair deal. And again they shoot

Unfortunate, but that's how it is.
I ordered 3 bolt rollers and two recoil springs online 4/18. Got them this morning 4/22. Pretty fast service. .

I bought a FA "Enhanced" M1 Garand 30-06 in 2014 from them and have not had any issues with it. Almost as accurate as my National Match at 100 yds.

I wish you Good luck with yours !

Any reviews on MILTECH? i have an 03a3 from them and am happy. I've sent them my '50s model grand to do an M1-D upgrade.
FA is proud of their weapons but hear nothing but good about their rifles.

Thanks from 11e40

I have two of their NM rifles. One M1 and one M1A. I used to shoot them across the course. They are as fine a rifle as you could want. Never had any reason to call customer service.
