HELP!! M1 garand trigger pin.

My M1 trigger pin keeps working its way out. So today I went to gun show pick up new pin. Messured old compaired to new pin(w/calipers) and new was .004 thicker. So i thought old was wearing out and that new was totally going to work. But after testing trigger housing with new trigger pin its obviously working its way out again! What do i got to do too resolve this problem??

I've seen several trigger housings that the trigger pin hole was slightly peened to make the fit tighter. Ether with center punch or a chisel.

I also seen one that had about .020" was ground off the head of the pin and the housing was peened over so there was no way it would come out. That seems a little extreme. But if the housing hole was way out of spec/junk, it kept it in servise.

Yep, I've seen the same thing. Both pins on one of my Danish returns were retained by center punch marks around their heads. Works, but as levisdad said, I'd suspect that your housing is worn or out of spec. You might also try a drop of a retaining compound (Loctite 680 or such) on the degreased head (not the shaft). I've used that to keep pins from rotating on an AR, but they weren't working out, either.
