At the end of the contract there was two 55 gal. Drums full of 36 pattern parts that went to scrap! Man, if i only knew. i could retire today with the cylinders alone.
The garands NAD Crane (NSWSC) sent us came direct from guam, they must have been crated at the end of the war and never opened till we got them.
