| 155 Nosler CC's with Varget
A friend and I split a box of 1000 Nosler 155 cc bullets from Midway and I loaded some with 46.5 Varget over Win WLR primers and headed to the range in the rains of tropical storm Lee yesterday afternoon. I usually shoot at 200 prone to test my reloads, but since it was raining and windy I shot off the bench at the 100 yard range since it's more protected from the wind.
Starting with the left target I shot the 11:00 round first from cold clean barrel then the nice group of four. I gave the sights (1/2 min) a click left and shot the right target with the first three rounds at 12, the x at 10, then the last three at six. I guess my sight picture was getting off? Further bench work had to end due to the targets melting off the frame so I came home and merrily cranked out rounds on the Dillon.
The rifle is a match build IHC with NM sights, action glued in, handguard unitized, and LMR barrel. |
