Any day shooting is a good day. Did this Friday with handloads of 45.75 gr. Varget, Hornady 168 BTHP, WIN LR primers, LC 1x fired cases, 3.320" LOA. This is a 3.0 SA barrelled receiver I put together from parts 20+ years ago. Only thing done to the rifle was I had the barrel recrowned to remove a nick on it. Fun shooter. Only thing wrong with it is the gas plug likes to back out at inopportune times. No matter how hard I tighten it down it wants to come out.

Try a new gas plug. Sounds like yours is worn if it constantly comes loose. Teflon tape will help if it is worn down, but it will eventually blow out, either from vibrating loose or stripping. dave
