here is my Marlin 336 30-30 with a Leupold FXII 20MM. i absolutely love this set up. it is just so simple and i enjoy how low i was able to mount the scope. i had second thoughts on scoping my lever action, but with the Marlin, it just feels right. this will be my "truck gun" that will ride shotgun with me as im driving the Texas hillcountry.
Most people would be suprised how well a Marlin 30/30 shoots.
A scope on a Lever Rifle does the same thing for you that it does on ANY rifle. If you can "see" better, and "aim" better then you HIT better...
Nice rifle and scope. And yes, Marlin 336's shoot VERY well. I have one with almost the same set-up and I routinely pull off very precise shots (and head shots with does) from my deer blind every year with this rifle. It won't disappoint you.
