"New" Marlin 94 arrives today!
Just traded into a really straight Marlin 94 chambered in .38/40! It's a 1904 production gun and is in darn good shape. Metal is nice...
The plan is to have Steve Nelson (Nelson's Custom, Corvallis, OR) do a complete restoration of the rifle to include new color casing, rust bluing, and if warranted, some engraving in the original Marlin patterns. We also plan to upgrade/replace the wood with new high grade walnut.
Let me know what you think of the project. I'll get pics when it arrives today and post them.
I'm pretty excited about the project.
We are doing a Marlin Model 36 1st year production (1936) rifle at the same time in .30/30 WCF.
