Finally, SSDEFENCE thanks for bringing out MY lever gun-Marlin 336C in .35 Rem. Was beginning to think that I was a throw back or odd ball of some kind. Light, quick handling, easy pointing, able to put any deer down with one shot(if you do your part), light recoil, accurate-what more could you want?? Put a Bushnell TDS-25 red dot on it-mix of old school and modern-makes the fastest handling rig I've ever shot.

The only two that I have left are Winchester Mdl 94's. One that was my first hunting rifle that I bought while on leave in 1972 and the other is a 1944 Flat Band that I've have for about 30 years. Both shoot great.

I own only one lever gun. A Marlin 45-70. When I go shooting with someone who hasn't fired one I alternate heavy loads with cowboy loads. I shoot a cowboy load, say "see that isn't so bad" and then hand the firearm to them with a Buffalo Bore cartridge up next. Call me a bad person but it is fun.

Thanks from DudleyDR and speerchucker

I picked up a NOS JM Marlin 1894c .357 a couple of years ago. I mounted an EGW rail on top, and lo and behold, my front sight was not centered when looking down the rail. The barrel was not indexed properly. It went back to Marlin/Remington. It went through the REP custom shop, and was sent back to me, repaired. One problem, they marked the barrel with a few stamps, and an REP proof mark. They would not tell me what the stamped figures meant. but I have a rare JM/REP rifle. Big deal! The Dawson FO sights are fantastic, and it's got a Montana sling, and Wild West Trigger Happy kit(must have for Marlins). My Cowboy assault rifle.

I only have one, an early 70's Winchester 9422M, pre-pressed checkering. 22 mag is one of my favorite cartridges. I have a high standard derringer in same caliber.

BL 22 is a very nice little rifle. I have had one since 1989, it has been sent back for a rebuild once. I have shot 10s of thousands of rounds through it. It is still a tack driver with the original barrel. Back when I got it a brick of LR was $7.99. I shot a brick a week for a few years straight. A spring Kit was all they replaced.

Thanks from hammett08
