I'm really torn on which to get. Henry makes their 1860 only in 44-40 while Uberti makes theirs in 45LC. I only reload and buy firearms in 45LC when possible. I have considered making the Henry 1860 in 44-40 my next buy and will suffer the lesser 44-40 caliber in the short term.
The local pawn shop has a couple of Henry's in stock both the standard edition and the engraved edition. They know my desire and always handed me those two hoping I walk out with one or the other. However since I have the Uberti 1873 the quality is just out of this world....so there is that to consider.
My fear would be that the Henry is too fine to shoot and it would just end up a safe queen, which I don't like very much. Soon I'll have to decide.
