Uberti Winchester 1873 came in.

Just a few photos of my new Model 1873 that came in today. It's looking like I'm on a buying binge for lever actions now. My plans are getting a 1860 Henry and a Henry Big Boy in silver soon.

Sure is pretty....45Colt 20" barrel.

Nice looking rifle there. Let us know how it shoots.

That is a beauty SFC! I would like one in .357 magnum. I just bought an older Interarms Rossi 92 in .357 magnum and I love it! More lever rifles!!!

Thanks from sfc higgins

Now that's a beautiful lever action. Very nice finish. Is it a shooter or a wall hanger?

Thanks from sfc higgins

It is a shooter, I don't like wall hangers or safe queens.

I have a half dozen different Cimarron/Uberti guns myself - all shooters. Love 'em!

Gorgeous!

I want a '73 replica in .45 Colt to replace the '92 replica I use for CAS. I haven't gotten around to it because of how accurate my '92 is, but the Winchester 1873 is one of the best looking rifles ever.

Thanks from sfc higgins

I just ran some of my 45 LC reloads through it...it's a dream shooting it off hand.

That Cimarron looks like an A+ to me. Unlike some Ubertis I've seen, the rollmarks look deep and crisp. Standard loaded 45 Colt hits with quite a thump out of a carbine, don't underestimate it.

Aren't lever guns sweet? Yes, they are an addiction!

Between dads Henrys and my Winchesters, we got it bad.

Beautiful. Does Cimarron overstrike the top barrel markings?

Awards Showcase

Just a word of warning. I had a Uberti black powder Navy and it kept falling apart.

Parts kept falling off of it and nothing was held down.

It looked really nice, but was impossible to shoot.

I also had a Uberti .44 Special Colt SAA that shot one foot low and to the left at 25 yards. It also looked really nice with a case hardened frame, and beautiful grips.

That was back in 1990. So let's hope yours is good to go, and they have learned to make shooters rather than lookers.

Thanks from sfc higgins

I have a pretty large handful of Uberti guns, and everyone so far has been reliable and fairly accurate. Doesn't mean the old ones weren't in dire need of a fix - just saying mine [newer than 1990] are all keepers.....at least for now.....

That's a shame about your guns. However for the past several years I've had lots of rounds downrange with Cimarron guns and have nothing but great times.

I would buy Cimarron over all others...just my opinion.
