To hot for Win. model 88?

Putting together some .308 loads for upcoming deer season. Didn't have my manual with me, Varget has some loads listed on label, except I didn't see listed loads are Maximum. Til I was done. So what I've got is 46gr. of Varget under 165gr Sierra's in once used Rem brass. Loaning my Win. 88 to my brother, think this is a bit hot for this action? I'll be dialing it in first, would hate to stress out a lovely old lever rifle.
Do my loading at my mentors shop, an old timer who's books don't even list Varget. Have used this load in my Tikka bolt, not worried about that one.

The Winchester Model 88 is really a lever actuated bolt action, with a three-lug rotating bolt locking system. It's probably the strongest lever action Winchester ever made, and is capable of taking the same loads as any other sporting rifle in .308, so if it's safe in the Tikka, it'll be save in the Winnie.

Thanks for the input Burner. Not overly concerned, know it's a strong action. Really is the straightest shooting lever gun I've ever had, no need to push it. Not a fan of hot loads and just remembered I've got some Nosler Accu Bonds loaded with 42.5gr. Varget from last year. Think I'll dial in with those. BTW, trigger isn't that bad, unless your used to tuned and/or Timney. Should grab an extra mag though, going for $80 at local show. Brownell was half that last time I checked, better get back to them. Thanks, ctk
