I have one of those barrels on this M-21 DMR. You will enjoy the accuracy and light weight. Worth the wait.

I have tried contacting John Wolfe by pm and leaving a phone message. Never received an answer. I hope he will reply here. I have been waiting on them to come in stock so that I can get another. I have a 22 inch and a 18.5 inch on rifles. I would like to use another.

Edit to add
Also used his email contact.

Thanks from nf1e

Art,

What's the brand name on that brass catcher? How do you like it?

Barrels

Well after a long day in the shop, I came in and my wife had a pizza and a refreshing beverage waiting on me. Blacktail I apologize for not getting back to you.

We have been working diligently on our match standard weight barrel revision and they were just approved this week after over six months of modifications.

I am glad to let you all know the new match standard weight 22" barrel, will have 5R/20 rifling and will be available in late Spring, early summer. We added a little more diameter from the gas cylinder forward, removed unnecessary machining operations in addition to additional proprietary modifications for improved precision and consistency. The nitride process has been a great success and we will continue offering this barrel already nitrided.

I am also glad to include the exciting release of our newest barrel in this post. In collaboration with Bula, we have designed a new 5R/20 match medium weight barrel that will have a 5/8x24 muzzle thread. This barrel will be supplemented by a component gas system group that was collaboratively engineered and will be produced by Bula. The barrel diameter will be large enough in diameter to have a .100" shoulder for the 5/8x24 thread.

We plan to release this barrel mid-summer. I expect this barrel to be even more inherently accurate than our current WMMW by virture of its rigidity from the gas cylinder seat forward. I would appreciate comments and suggestions on this as the drawings will be finalized next week. I am still contemplating the overall length.

Lastly, our existing 5R/20 410 matte stainless match medium weight barrels will be available again mid-summer. We appreciate all those who have commented on our barrels and have kept sales strong even in this soft market.

Wow Jon, you guys are really doing some fun and innovative things there in the skunkworks! I'm trying not to build more rifles, but with the barrel option you guys are putting out it's hard not to...

Mr. Wolfe A 20 inch barrel is something no one has ever offered and would be a great lenght for the new WMMW. With the options on muzzle devices in that threading, the length would be compact enough and still maintain good velocity. It would also present a very balanced look.

A nitrided match standard weight is one of the barrels on my list for two builds that I will have Jon undertake. Glad this thread was started. Late Spring/Summer gives me plenty time to save up more cash. Thanks for the question OP and thanks Jon for the update!

Love it. I have two, one for prone and one on a tripod for pistol.
I will have to get back to you on the brand. I am pretty sure it came through Midway.

Awards Showcase

Jon,

If a 20" barrel of your new design will let a FGMM 175 hit the magical 2600 fps mark, you will have real winner with the M14 crowd.

Hope this helps, Kurt.

I second the request to see a 20" version. I was about to make a call in the near future to ask about cutting down the current medium weight match 22" 410SS 5R/20 offering to a length somewhere between 19.25"-20".

The barrel you (Jon) describe in 20" would be my pick of the litter for my build.
