Y'all descriptions makes me glad I do not have TV any more. Falling tree took out the cable in March and I haven't really missed it!

I watched it. I liked it slightly better than SOG. I don't like SOG at all....
I was rolling my eyes with the hollywood drama. And why the hell would you shoot a water balloon at point blank range on a tree stump and call that a "Test fire". I'd feel really silly and embarrassed if I were on a show like that.
These TV producers need to actually talk to gun folk and find good reputable shops and dealers to do a program on. Then again, it would be boring and nobody would watch it.
I did like the show I watched last night on Nat Geo about Ronnie Barrett and his family run business.
THAT WAS A SHOW!!

anyways this show is about as dumb as the rest of the guy+family owns store reality shows. Im just waiting for this crap to pass. The show is over scripted and its one more show that takes away from the informative feel that the Discovery channel used to have(circa 90's)
Im just gonna say it...as a 20's something guy even i feel the daughter is shoving skank down our throats. If i have offended you..i dont apologize because i call how i see it.
the only interesting part is the son and his developing skills as an engraver. everything else is pretty much fake wife, douche dad, and skank daughter.
/my take | well to me the skank daughter is the only reason to watch, she has a good body

The more I watch that show the less I like it. Every episode there is more BS drama added and you find out that the owner is a bigger D-bag than the episode before.

Yea, that Gunsmoke Shop in CO that have this new show have a horrible reputation that extends all the way to Eastern NE, at least. I don't think I'll encourage the pattern by watching their show.

I've watched a few episodes.
I was particularly intrigued to see how they would make a "Hand Cannon" last night because I have always been interested in Muzzle Loaders and was the Team Armourer for the U.S. Team at two world championships. OK, taking the barrel from a percussion rifle someone CALLS a Hawken and is no such thing, was not a bad idea to get a barrel that was safe. The owner had no idea that you can turn down an octagonal ML barrel if you are careful. I could also agree you can't press fit a steel barrel well into NORMAL brass stock, though they could done it in bronze. But I kept wondering, where the CRAP is the breech plug??!! Then they came up with that piece of brass they just screwed over the rear end of the barrel. Beside the fact it is no where near authentic, THAT is a tragedy waiting to happen, folks!!! When they heated and bent the bands around the barrel, I was thinking they were doing something right UNTIL they used modern screws to fix them to the stock. I about threw up at this point.
I did enjoy the Eye Candy woman who wanted the pink .45. Couldn't believe all the crap the owner gave his wife over it. Must admit I think the wife is hot and she has a good head on her shoulders as well. He should really learn to listen to her more.
I think the show is interesting as much to see how the owner will screw up and of course for the eye candy, but otherwise it is almost a comical farce.

Instead they give us peeks of those and then bombard us with fake drama.

Oh, I don't know how much general experience the owner of the shop has, but Smith and Wesson has been making pink autos and some revolvers since the early 90's and sales to women are very good under the "Lady Smith" nomenclature. Pink stocked .22 rifles for kids also sell well for daughters and granddaughters. Every chance we get to bring women into the shooting sports should at least be thoroughly investigated, if not acted on. When they are grown, they won't be hostile to firearms and vote for gun bans and they will let or JOIN their husbands going hunting.

I have to give them credit on the show a couple nights ago. They did a pretty good job modifying a scout rifle for a wounded vet. I was glad the show showcased that and appreciated it for one of our wounded warriors.
