I haven't seen the Postman in a long time. I like the post-apocalypse/SHTF type movies. I remember the Postman was pretty good. I'll have to find a copy of it...

I love when the folks in the dam open up that storage box of M14's!! I replay that part over when it comes up. Sigh..................

You should see me when I go to do the semi-annual inspections on our Honor Guards weapons. They have a bunch of M14's and Garands. Most are like new, because they only use maybe 7-8 of them for ceremonies, funerals, etc. The rest just sit in storage. If only I could smuggle a couple. But alas, it ain't worth a court-martial...

Yeah, I just attended the funeral of a buddy, a three tour Vietnam veteran. I wore my class A's and stood with the Army Honor Guard. The guys rendering the rifle salute were carrying M14's. I didn't get a chance to look them over too closely and the soldiers didn't really know too much about them. Of course they were all young guys.
