Has anyone used pierce ammo? I picked up a box of 45acp, 230 gr jhp at a local gunshow. I recently had a chance finally to try it, half the box barely operated the slide. The cases sort of dribbled out of the pistol, and the recoil was not even close to 9mm even. My brother actually found one of the spent projectiles in the plywood back board. It didnt even penetrate the plywood. The salesman at the gun show told me it was loaded to hardball pressures. Half the box maybe, but some of the bullets you could actually see fly.

Hammer1,
I'm a product engineer at Pierce Munitions and read your post. If you're unsatisfied with our ammo in any way, we'll happily replace it, refund your money or provide you with another round that may work better for your specific application. You're welcome to stop by the facility (I see you're in West Seneca, close to our Hamburg location) and we can show you our ballistics testing lab, fire off a couple rounds and figure out exactly what's going on. You can contact me directly at mgarcia@piercemunitions.com or by phone at (716) 822-0617. Thanks, Mike Garcia

Im gonna call him CAVMAN, I just found the post. And I agree, that is customer service, I honestly didnt think I would hear from anyone. Its been weeks and this is the first that I heard from anyone, I actually forgot about it. Work has been very busy, and Ive just been worried about the 6 inches in front of face. Im starting to have withdrawals, I havent smelled burned gunpowder in weeks. But I will definitely make the effort to call Mr Garcia.

I wanted to update you guys , I talked to Mr Garcia about the issue I had with the ammo. He offered to have me to their shop to tour it. H e also had 140 rounds of 45 auto ammo waiting for me, the only payment, feedback on the product. Thats a operation standing by its product. I will update you guys after I try it out.

Another update, I finally was able to shoot the pierce ammo. All was fine with the ammo provided, it felt like hardball in recoil. My kimberstein ate it up and asked for more. The one load Mr Garcia provided me was a 230 TC flat nose, I really liked it and so did the 1911, about an inch and a half group. I dont know how far the Pierce ammo is distributed but if you come across it , I personally will buy it again. I have seen it at a couple of shop in northeast PA, one near Warren. Try it out.

I was just at the Arcade Lumber store in Arcade, NY.
They sell ammo at the counter.
I bought a box of .308 168 gr HPBT Pierce Ammunition .
I shot some other rounds of ammo to put through the fresh clean barrel.
I then put out 4 rounds of Pierce Performance Ammo at 100 yrds. 3 were in the same hole and I flinched on the 4th.
I did the same again. I sent some down to 200 yrds...grouped fine, normal drop.
I was VERY IMPRESSED.
I went to the website, I could not find the products listed.
I would love to know what options are available, per caliber.
I WILL be buying another box. |
