Walther PPS

I was thinking about getting one about a year ago, but read that there was a problem with the slide locking up after about 500 rounds or so due to a design or manufacturing defect. Does anybody know if Walther has corrected this problem? If the problem has been corrected, can you point me to documentation that explains what Walther did to correct the problem? Also, I would like to hear experiences from any PPS owners that have put over 500 rounds through their guns to see if they have had any problems.

Well, I'm right at the 500 round count now with zero problems. Mine is the 9mm and I love it. Not a single hiccup and very accurate.

500 rd break-in, heavily oiled and no hiccups
id say 1000+ since the break-in period and mine is utterly reliable, not to mention the accuracy, its a real dandy. my poor Glocks have become safe queens LOL

I've had one in 9mm for years now, never had any problems with it in almost 2500 rounds. Wife has one too(she got her's first)has about 3000 rounds through it and as long as she doesn't limp wrist it it works great for her. The slide locking back thing was long ago fixed with a stronger slide release spring. There is a great PPS forum,do a google search. Oh,the wife and I love our PPSs and shoot them all the time. Great summer carry gun.

I have close to 1000 rounds through mine. It conceals easy, fits great in my hand, and I haven't had so much as a single jam.
