after running it thru the ringer this has become my winter carry piece. accurate with every load ive tried in it, slick trigger, but i will admit them grips can make full bore .357's a bit punishing after awhile. sorry about the thumbnail, my photobucket account is being a pain.

well, i did carry a Sig P232 in .380, but i just picked this little cannon up on gunbroker. it's a S&W 340PD AirLite in .357mag. im thinking i might just load it with .38+P however. this thing weighs nothing (just under 12 ounces)......you dont even know you have it on you. it also came with the crimson trace laser grips. |

I have 2 carry guns which I utilize depending on the circumstances (what I'm wearing, weather, mood I'm in).
Glock 23 and S&W 642 Airweight. Always carry an extra load with me as well.

I went from a Sig 228 to a Sig 239 SAS gen1, to a Glock 26, to my current combat commander. I'd carry my S&W Model 10 heavy barrel if I could conceal it reasonably. |

However, .38 Special +P is much better than nothing and I haven't found anything better for pocket carry and pocket carry works better for me a lot of the time.

I forgot to mention that my wife carries a S&W Airweight 642 as well. As others have mentioned the trigger is a long pull, but she has plenty of time on the range with it and knows the deal. Also there are always trade offs, the relatively light weight of it plus the "just pull the trigger" aspect of a wheel gun is what made her choose it.

Okay, I punk around on the LCP forum because I've got a couple of the little girls.
I think discussing whether you do or do not carry on a public forum is not the most secure of things to do.
In my own case, living in podunk Iowa, right next to the Peoples Indentured Republic of Illinois, so any Iowa CCW is useless 2 miles from where I am right now.
That said, by the time I think I would actually need to have a CCW in Iowa there probably won't be an active Police State, and a CCW would not be worth the paper it was printed upon, and I could carry any damned thing I wanted any way I wanted.
Just saying.

I have a ruger LCP in my front right pocket all the time. I will normal carry one of the following in a IWB holster depending on weather and how I can dress.
XD45
CS45
LC9
Smith 3913
smith 6906
No extra mags
the fastest reload is the second pistol

i usually don't carry out in public, but when i do i take my truck gun. it's an old star B super in 9mm para in a gi holster rig with two extra mags. it was cheap from sog, not much finish left but has fired every time i have pulled the trigger. 9mm not my 1st choice, but I don't beat my .45 around in my truck. my wife carries her little beretta 84 bb.

Just saying. | Funny we live in the same country! :) We (wife and I) CC 99% of the time but open carry a lot. We can walk in and have a chat with our Mayor open carrying...Perfectly legal, no permit required. The "state" will have a big problem trying to stop us. We've let things get out of hand haven't we? Just saying.......O.L.
