Small of the back? I've done the inside the pants holster just behind my hip, but small of the back seems like it could get uncomfortable when sitting down. Just wondering?

If I have my pants on, an NAA .22MAG is ALWAYS in my hip pocket. Also carry either a Para Warthawg .45ACP, Colt 1991A1 Comander, or a Ruger SP101.Iuse either an S.O.B. holster or an I.W.B. or sometimes just in my waist band with no holster. Better Half carries a S&W Airweight either in her bag, sometimes a holster, or just in her pocket. And yes she can and will pull it from any of the above. I don't carry spare ammo I usually hit where I aim. |

I've been carrying a H&K P7 PSP for 8 years now. I've carried various other pistols (P226, P229, P6, SIG PRO 2009, HK45, P3AT, PF9, Kimber Royal Carry II) but I always come back to the P7. I do carry a H&K P30L when I can wear clothes that will let me get away with concealing a full size pistol.

andy | My truck pistol is a Star clone from Argentina, Ballester Molina in .45acp. It will take a 1911 mag and barrel but no other 1911 component fits.
Like your Star, it was cheap and is reliable. Cycles any .45acp I've ever used, not a picky eater at all. The only jam I ever had with it came from a worn out magazine spring. 100_3287.jpg |

but in comparison you may be on to something. My brother (may he RIP) and I did have a field test about these things. Basically we would ask each other "if I was shooting this would you say F**k you from 50 yards away." Well all right then.

Hopefully all you folks that switch platforms are taking the time to rebuild your muscle memories for the different handguns and carry methods. It takes several repetitions to build this muscle memory and to make it an autonomous reflex.
I carry the same style of weapon continuously but do change my carry method consistant with weather condtions. When I do so I perform several draws to help make that transition. When I don my work gear I also do several draw and holster repetitions.
Like engaging the safety on AR's when in condition Orange it is a habit learned from training and repetition. Be safe all!
