I keep threatening to get a model 18 then see the prices and skip it for now. I too own the big brother .357, though its a pre 27 with 5" barrel made in '55.

I own and have owned many rimfire revolvers, and I generally prefer the older Smiths'. But my favorite is actually a newer version; the 63-5. I've had older Model 63's but in my opinion, this is the best. It is just the right size, weight, capacity and accuracy for an everyday carry/working/back-packing/field 22 revolver.

There's always the Model 48, good for a little more punch in 22mag

Any Smith revolver from the 70s that is new in the box will sell quickly.

Thanks from Cody M1A and Pipestoneinc

The K-22 is a perfect mate for a K-38. Two of the best bullseye revolvers made.

Awards Showcase

I would keep the M27. But if you must we might be able to work out a trade of my M17 for your M27.

Well, Art, I guess you've figured out by now that you should keep the Model 27 and save your pennys for the K22. Model 27's are very hard to come by and when you find one you're talking very big bucks. Couldn't afford a model 27 so I got the Model 19 and really enjoy it. Any of the early Smith's are worth getting.
