Should I send this ammunition back to Remington?

I have been trying to set up my reloading bench and came across a R-P .44 mag case I fired 30 years ago! I remember it because it was a squib load that jammed up the action of the S&W M29 I was shooting.
Well I pulled the bullet later that day and found the case had no flash hole, the dent in the bottom of the case came from the decapping pin that was horribly bent and laying in the bottom of the case when I tried to resize it. I wasn't thinking and tossed it in the pile with the rest of the box I had fired that day, its funny how you can remember things like this.
Do you think Remington would replace it?

Casey

Worth a shot to see. Berger Bullets gave me some free stuff when I reported an incompletely formed projectile I got in a box.

How did that even become a squib? I mean no flash hole to ignite the charge?

Thanks from ray55classic

Please correct me if I am wrong, but you said the case/round was fired 30 years ago?

If so, I would toss the brass in the recycle bin and forget about it.

If you didn't think much of it 30 years ago...

Sorry guys but I don't drink beer, I make my own honey Mead when I can afford 20lbs of honey to make 5 gallons, I am all out right now.

I called it a Squib because it did fire the primer which backed out of the case and jammed against the bolt face of the S&W I was shooting it out of and prevented the cylinder from turning. It did make a pop like a round with no powder.

I had to hold the cylinder latch open and smack the cylinder with a plastic mallet. It wasn't too tight but you could not rotate the cylinder by trying to pull the hammer or double action with the trigger.

You have a chance? as long as you don't mention you fired it 30+ years ago.

They'd probably replace it, but I'd be more inclined to drill out the flash hole & put that case to work.
