Almost Twins?

I picked up a pair of Shields recently what with all the discounted prices and rebates on them. One is a S&W 40 Shield - the other a S&W 45 Shield. There is a slight difference in size and appearance, but not enough to keep me from grabbing the wrong one/ammo/mags inadvertently, so........I decided to Duracoat the 45 somewhat. I wanted it in FDE, but could not find one like that, so I changed the one I have, after cautiously disassembling the frame parts and mag release....

Think it looks OK? Opinions?

Below is the 40 Shield.......

You know I just may do that. I have some OD stuff I mixed with a combat black awhile back for a different project.

Thanks from Wasted ammo

Meh.. I've never cared for the polymer stuff. As long as it shoots good for you enjoy it.

Thanks from racer

Yes. I added extra hardener to the mix because these will no doubt get banged around a little in transit and on shooting tables.....that leaves more of a "glossy" look to the finish......but should be a little tougher shell. I'm hoping that is the case anyhow.
