That's so sad, what a tragedy.

I hear you, I worked in a liquor store for 3 years and was allowed to carry and did every day, you bet your @$$ my 1911 had one in the chamber + full mag, safety on. Your observation has to be on overdrive too.

Hard to watch, guy should have continued complying and waited for a better window of opportunity, or not pulled at all. Might as well have been unarmed without one in the pipe, or able to come up firing from a clean draw. Looks like he had a Beretta 92, a bit cumbersome with not the greatest DA pull if he'd had one chambered. CCW's being discussed on a few other threads this AM, and it's why I carry one of these :

That Happened pretty quickly I don't know if he could have thumbed off the safety in time. If someone has the drop on you there is no way you will out shoot him even with a glock or a revolver.

Carrying with an Empty Chamber is putting Safety before Survival. He should have continued to be compliant, and the Thugs may have left them Alive, never knowing that he was Armed.
Some People try to emulate what they see on TV. It just ain't like that in the Real World.

Sorry to see. The H&K P2000sk with an LEM trigger is my #1 carry. It is dirt simple to employ.

Public hangings of these sorts of people would go a long way to stopping this kind of behavior in the first place. You go into someone's place and hold them at gun point while stealing from them then it's past time for society to stop making excuses for your actions.

If your weapon isn't properly charged you would be better off with a good knife. One would be surprised at the distance that can be closed in 1 second.

I agree. These types should be the "guest of honor" at a necktie party...

I wish I could go back in time and give that man a J frame. It will always shoot. And at that distance the situation may have been different.

A lesson cheaply bought isn't worth much. Many a criminal would run and fight till they could go no more then face a man with the rope. Would you rather go down fighting or wait till dawn knowing the fate the new days sun would bring?

Use to be society would hold people in disdain who wouldn't pull their weight in the community now we cater to them from cradle to grave. These kind of animals don't fear prison, they're the folks who would rape someone anyways. They go in knowing there's food, cot, and like minded scum to associate with. They know they get to come back out, and prey on others they just hope they don't get caught again. Most are dumb enough to think they won't.
Rant over.

It's just sad a father and a son running a business die at the hands of someone who isn't worth the labor of digging a hole to put them in.
