I love the charcoal bluing. Had one for a while, never shot it, finally sold it off. If I could find one in .44-40 I might snag another but don't want anymore .45 Colts.

Why don't you want any more 45 Colts? Caliber standardization is a great thing.

Yes, I only shoot .45Colt because I reload thousands of that caliber mostly. Whenever I feel the need to step out of cowboy action I use 45acp. So I feel it's just a simpler life.

Thanks from 3Gunnah

Loose screws

I have one and it is a lot of fun, but... and this is an important but. Invest in a good set of screwdrivers. The screws will back out even with light loads. I have become convinced that cowboys sat around the campfire tightening screws after they ate their beans. I missed the bolt screw loosening and my bolt fell into the frame. Uberti fixed it up under warranty, remounted the bolt, test fired it and sent it back with the bolt screw loose. I would still recommend them for a fun gun and they are pretty.

Excellent post. I too can attest to screws coming loose. I include the screw inspection as part of the maintenance of all my firearms. I use Blue Threadlocker on most of them.

Yea, I agree with you about eating the beans and looking for that missing screw at the end of the days ride. LOL!
