I don't have need for a drop gun. I don't do anything illegal.

I think I will too. I have one more pistol purchase permit. I sure have enjoyed the two Universal carbines and the open bolt .45acp Eagle Commando I have.

I've got complete triggers groups, palm safetys, regular safety, cocking mechanism, spring kit from their Pointman line. They got their stuff from Les somebody back then and sold plastic boxes of it when they went under. And later I heard the guy tried to make another 1911 line. I wonder if it went under ?

That's interesting. The last Rock Island full sized 1911 that I picked up used came with Wilson and Chip McCormick mags. It also came with a very nice leather lined Kydex holster. Story was that a security guard used it as his duty carry. I think I paid under $400 for the lot.

Ah, missed that. But I've heard that the RI mags were problematic, too. I think they were made by Daly?

Most factory 1911 mags aren't the best, I like mecgar,Wilson, chip McCormick. Ordered some from Tripp ent. Heard they work good but don't no yet.

I picked up a box of 8 military stock numbered .45 ACP mags a few years ago and they've worked really well for me. No failures ever, but they aren't pretty. Nice thing was that they came loaded with 230 grain ball ammo.

Thanks from Wasted ammo

As long as they work it don't matter what they look like.
