Maybe not the only 1911 you'll ever want.

Thanks from Snyper762 and High Hat

This may be true for now, but he has a very valid point. Trust me.

Looking at CZ right now. A forum member has a 75 and I really like it. I am looking at their SP01 right now.

As far as 1911s, I wouldn't go with Kimber, as I have heard their quality has diminished. Les Baer are great, but really pricey.

What is your budget?

+1 for staying away from a newer kimber. LGS and indoor range had a really bad time with them. Stopped selling them altogether.

Thanks from Snyper762

Wise man to look into the cz! Owned several. This is my favorite

I have been questioning the cz pistols, wanting a 10mm. Glad to hear good things about them.

Look into the eaa witness lineup. Solid guns with growing support.

Hate to hijack a thread, don't know why I even want a 10. Just never had one and like to to try different things.

Well go to 1911heaven.com, give Crazy John a call, you'll be surprised, may be more affordable than you think.

If you want a well built, hard fit, run like a raped ape 1911 to shoot , then get a Baer.

You will not be disappointed.

As for budget, do what I do, save up the cash even if its $20 bucks week.

Just don't try that with women son or you'll see yourself spending money faster than they can print it! Don't ask me how I know this......

Yes they would. I hate ambi safety's but then I have no need for one. You do. To my knowledge any 1911 built to original specs can have an ambi safety fitted. Whichever 1911 you choose I'd highly recommend getting one built to spec. All kinds of parts will then be available to you when the bug bites.

Ahhhhh, No!!!!! I say collect all your parts that you think you like the best or have too have, then build your own.

And if you can swing anything LB give SA Custom Shop a call you can get the same or better for less money.

Thanks from High Hat
