Last Round You'll Ever Need

Don't think these are allowed under the Geneva Convention, but may come in handy for personal defense.

R.I.P. Round

Wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of one of those.

Currently available only in 9mm, but there are plans for other pistol calibers. No word yet on any .308

Thanks from Smokincharlie

The feed ramps on my pistols are cringing just at the sight of those things.

If you like that one, check out this Mi3 cartridge and projectile. Apparently legal for personal defense.

That is one NASTY looking round.
I would love to see what that does to a pig carcass or a block of ballistics gel.

Sent from my Apple Newton in 1993 with 2 MB of RAM

Edit: watched the video
I must have this in .45 ACP.

Can you imagine what this would do at higher calibers and higher velocities? I can't imagine that the potential doesn't exist to evicerate a target.

I dunno man . . for ~stopping~ power . . . I think one good expanding hollow-point trumps a bunch of little bitty pieces going off on their own like that. I don't see it.

I think this is marketed to the the "Gotta have the latest, coolest, Mutant Ninja Turtles endorsed $h*t" crowd.

It looks to me like it would break apart in dozens of pieces before doing any deep penetration. At 96 grains it is like a 380.
I'm calling this one BS! I'll take a well placed FMJ over this any day!

BTW
It was the Hague Convention that outlawed HP Rounds. The Geneva was be nice to Prisoners of War one.
Just saying.

I can't believe these are being touted on every firearms forum I frequent.

What a gimmick.

If you are on a borderline state for lawyers ready on jump on your for self-defense, this will be the clincher.

Then again, I'll bet a few tests would prove how these are LESS effective than a plain solid lead bullet, so it might help afterall.

I have a Mint Box of the banned Winchester Black Talons in.45 ACP. Not the ranger BS they were trying pass off after the ban but the real deal. It even has the Gun Shop price tag of $12.50 on the box of 25. OHHH! Berry Berry Dangerous! Who will make me an offer

Interesting concept...but at a lower velocity such as a .45 I wonder if it will really do much spread wise.

Lightweight and fast it makes sense (kinda), but lightweight and slow is just asking for issues when it comes to transfering the centrifugal force outward.

New design?

Not going in any of my guns. What junk - I bet this would lock up a pistol FAST.

I loaded some 145 Grain SWCL .45 Bullets to 1500 FPS in my 1911. I shot a SS Coffee pot at about 65 feet and it dented it slightly. I than shot a 260 gr Lead nosed HP at 900 FPS.
It bashed a 3 inch diameter hole in it.
After Hundreds of different Rounds from Lead to Copper and everything in between I settled on the fact that a 230 Grain FMJ or HP at 850 is Plenty. Than again we all know that.

I will still take my Tok PPU 7.62X25 JHP at 1700 FPS.

It IS the deadliest pistol round in my arsenal.
