Official 1911 Pic Thread?

Didn't see one, so perhaps we need an official pic thread for the greatest service pistol ever created!

I fail though; I don't have a USGI type pistol...

Thanks from gettinolder

Always liked the 1911. Just can't beat it as a service pistol. This one still serves quietly next to the bed.

I'm not really sure if they are real. There in great shape. They both have dragons carved in relief style. I'm guessing they were done sometime in the 1950's I have never seen another pair to make a comparison. I took them off and put some wood ones on as I would not want them to get broken.

What the heck... I'll post some horrible pictures to share.

My carry piece (the Kimber), seems to be the only pic I have of the Bulgy Mak (sold the IJ-70), the wife's Sig P6 (just sold the CBOB in the picture)

My GI model. It's a work in progress, currently at SACS getting a beavertail safety installed. So far so good. If all goes well and the creek doesn't rise, I'll do a subtle dehorn and figure out if I want to pick a finish other than park.
