| Glock 20 10 mm
I've never owned a Glock or a 10mm, one has come up locally in great shape and at a good price. I've been thinking about getting a 10mm. Will only be a range and maybe a glove box gun, won't carry it. Anyone have any experience with the Glock 20? It's a gen 3. Yea or Nay?

Hell to the yes. Its a big gun that packs a punch. You can shot bears with a 10MM.

I have two and am very happy with them.
Best "stock" handgun platform for the 10mm.
I have a KKM 10/40 conversion barrel in one so it will run the more affordable 40SW factory ammo OR handloads (once fired brass is cheap!)
If you are a handloader then just loading the 10mm to 40 specs will do the same thing.
Between the heavy slide (designed for the 10mm) and the large grip, running the 40SW in the G20 is kinda of a "cheater gun" in the action shooting circles.
It is very soft shooting and easy to control at speed.

nice tidbit of info there.

I truly enjoy my 10mm. They are not for everyone but I certainly wouldn't hesitate to get another if I found a deal!

Another tidbit is that "push come to shove" you can run 40SW in the G20 as
built. The 40SW will "headspace" via the extractor hook, holding the case against the breechface.

You can't go wrong with the G20, this is my dangerous critter stopper (2&4 legged) whenever I'm hunting, I carry it in a cross draw so it won't interfere with my slung rifle.
I've shot it to 100 yrds without much elevation change, not that I would shoot at anything that far but it's nice to know how it performs, I tried the same with my 1911 .45 and the rainbow trajectory pretty much keeps you from coming close without luck on you side.
The 10mm is kind of expensive so it helps if you reload, other than that it's a great caliber.

My 10mm is a Smith and Wesson 1006 with the adjustable sights, the smith is a tank. the 10mm has some impressive ballistics. I run blue dot, dont remember the actual load off the top of my head.

If the price is right yeah snag it. I love the 10mm round. And my favorite two G-Locks are the 20 and 21 SF.
I had a S&W 1086 and kick myself for selling it everytime I see a 10mm thread.

I would not recomend it if you have small hands. Medium to large hands it should be fine to shoot. They have a slim model but It's not that slim. It packs a bit of a kick. I put a extended slide stop lever on mine and a heaver spring. I like hand guns with a kick!

I did buy it, very shortly after the OP. The guy who owned it couldn't even take the slide off, real novice. It has had very few rounds down the tube, literally looks like new. He also threw in 600 ~700 rounds of ammo, I have not counted it yet. All for only $650. Looking to get a ported 6" aftermarket barrel for heavy loads. It's a pussycat with standard 10 mm.

I hate glocks, but this is one I wouldn't mind owning. If I saw a deal like 08 Cayenne's, I'd snap it up in a heartbeat.
