If it's a G19, 23 or a Nano, I'll use it as a carry firearm. If it's anything else, I'll get set up to run my P228 as my carry piece.

Tony.

Tony, just thinking - new pistol means new holster, right?

I'll save my pitch, but Raven Concealment Systems just upped production and some holsters (for example, OWB's that fit Glock 19's) now are shipped within 45 days.

I got in before RCS became popular and had a two week wait. A friend of mine ordered one back in September, and it took 16 weeks to get it made.

Yes, there's a reason. Best. Holster. Ever.

Also, if you go the 19 route, I recommend that you change the following:

1) Toss the cheese-grater trigger and replace the 19/23 trigger bar with the 17/22 trigger bar. Get that nice smooth trigger for less than $20 and 5 minutes of install time.

2) Pop out the OEM mag latch and install a Vickers/TD mag release (not for Gen4 guns).

3) Remove the slide stop and replace it with a Vickers/TD slide release.

4) Toss the OEM plastic sights and try the Redback One sights from 10-8.

HTH.

Thanks from tonyben

Another option

I just thought of another option.

I might consider a P226 caliber x-change kit from top gun supply. It's only $370. It comes with a slide, 9mm barrel, recoil spring and guide, 1 mag and night sights!

I can just slap it on my current P226 and be set for 9mm. All my P226 mags are full capacity 9mm's and I just use them for 40 anyway. I probably have about 7 or 8 226 9mm mags.

But I must say, that Buckmark Whisper has just been whispering in my ear all week. I called the LGS and it's still there.... $380.

Ahh! Decisions!
