FNP 45 Range Report

Went to the range this morning and was pretty pleased with myself. I've never been much good with pistols but I'm doing a lot better than I used to. The targets were at the 14' line.

Nice pistol. I picked one up a couple of years ago & fitted a Surefire X300. My nightstand pistol, turns night into day and guaranteed to destroy a goblin's night vision.

A friend of mine showed me an FDE version today on which he's attached a Docter Optic and hung an AAC supressor. He likes it. Says it's very "soft shooting" even without all the froo-froo. A wee bit large for me (short fingers) for effective first round double action shots, but otherwise feels good.

He notes that the FNP is no longer. It will now be FNX. What the difference will be aside from slightly longer magazines (for overlength rounds), I don't know.

Haven't hit the pistol range in too long! Thanks for the range report. One more incentive to get out there. But rifles have been the main focus since ammo prices went crazy.

I think that only pertains to the FNP-9 and FNP-40.

Thanks from jmoore

Nice shooting. That beast will digest about anything you put in it. I love my USG, the super tuck holster makes it easy to carry her concealed too.

Hey shoot straight! I was at the Lakeland one this weekend with the AR and 1911. :D

Good shooting!

We tried to go to Tenoroc. I wanted to run the AR out to 100 yards but it was closed for some charity event. Ended up at Shoot Straight.

I've been to Tenoroc many times. Some of the RSO's they have now are ass holes and the range has gotten a little dilapidated over the years so I started going to Shoot Straight Lakeland or the county range over at Saddle Creek. Now that I'm in Tampa, it's Shoot Straight Tampa or private property. One thing I hated about shooting in Polk County was no ranges longer than 100 yards.

There are terribly few at 100 or beyond in the entire state. Saddle Creek had a 2 hour wait because everyone from Tenoroc was there instead. It looks like I'm going the Central Florida club here in Orlando.
