You can't go wrong with an H&K... enjoy it and shoot safe! Quote:

I was planning to offer up my MP5 clone.. but I just thought to myself I am no where near hitting that 60K round mark with the one I got now, and I can't really justify owning 2 ... besides that.. I love my MP5 clone
Local sales is your best way to grab an MK23.. most times you can offer up trades + cash. There were 2 of'em for sale where I'm located, and the lowest priced one I saw was at $1300 or $1400 and it looked like it was in better condition than mine was. All I can say is... they are out there to get.... and believe me! It's something no one will regret getting....

I have a USP Tactical .45 that I love. But a MK23 is one of those collection wants for sure.

Your USP tactical .45 is no joke either... that is a very fine weapon you got there |

All of you guys are welcome to post up your H&K pics and stories here. Throw down some details... failures, malfunctions, any issues, accuracy, fit and finish, etc... I'm in the market to getting another H&K.. either sticking with the .45 or getting into a 9mm...
I deliberately shot steel cased ammo (Tula ammo) and then brass case in my MK23 hoping for a fail to eject... but no fail to ejects or malfunction... the MK23 is still going strong.

islandermyk, how did you like you .40 tac? I'm getting one in a few months, and am absolutely dying to get my hands on it!

I looked at the 16 rounders and mounting on the USP Jet Funnel, and then adding on a vortex flash hider... yep.. I had big plans with that one and I did grow an attachment to the thing as well, and was hesitant about the trade, but I couldn't pass this one up.
The USP Tactical is an amazing piece. I can't recall, but I shot the sh*t out of it and really didn't take care of it (cleaning after every session) intentionally just to see to an extent it finally fails. I went through maybe 300 or 400 rounds got dirt in it by accident by loading a dirty mag and it failed to eject.
After seeing all that. I did put my trust on it and open carried it almost everywhere I went. I believe you will love it. Not to big, not to small... it will be a challenge if you plan to conceal, and it is enough gun to get the job done... it's hella accurate! I don't think you'll regret... When you do get it let me know. I still have my old kydex paddle holster I can sell you cheap (which I bought for $60). Held on to it thinking I'ma get another one.

I love me my HK MK23.
Here's a video of one banging away at a steel plate at around 25 -30 yards. Link here. |

I bet you can do a 100 yards with it! I've tried it and I was shooting steel case Tula ammo and still hitting the target... well 3 out of 12
It's a keeper! Shoot safe and enjoy!
By the way... have you any luck with finding a kydex paddle holster for your MK23?

Mikey's 23 is dead-on accurate beyond standard combat ranges. I'm sure that would apply to most of these pistols.
