I had a super sniper 10x go belly up so I decided while waiting for a replacement scope I would add an adjustable cheek riser . the install was pretty easy just a level , some shims and a drill press . by luck my new scope had come in the day before so I installed it as well and everything is just right .
All I did was find the place where I could get the proper eye relif the push the riser all the way down , mark the holes then I used a couple of shims to make sure I had the stock level and put two 1/4 inch holes through the stock.
everything tightens up real snug and there is not any wobble .

What went wrong with the SS10X ? . They are decent scopes for the money.

travis there was either a metal shaving or a piece of a gasket floating around on the inside . I had just sighted the scope in and was shooting the crap out of my arch nemissis gary the gopher target at 200 yds when it went south . I was bummed because I like the scope and had spent an afternoon loading the ammo weighing each load on a balance beam scale to make them perfect .
To swfa's credit I think they turned it around pretty quick from the time I contacted them and returned the damaged one to the time I recieved the replacement .
This has been a bad year for me and optics I had to send a bushnell elite 10x in for repair last summer , which they fixed no questions ask and an eotech the the glass delaminated on . the fixed it but I returned it for the refund and bought a c-more sight .

Wow, that's too bad.

I heard of some problems with the SS variable scopes a few years back, the fixed SS scopes are pretty much bullet proof. The Bushnell 10X mildot is another great little scope for the money.

Yes it's the MVP model. Been looking at the MVP scout model myself. It hold m14 mags as well.

20 years ago there was a gentleman in CA that would modify a Winchester model 70 for M14 mags. I never had it done but this MVP deserves looking into, can it be bought with a threaded barrel?

May have to sell my Mod 70 heavy barrel now.

Moe Delfina "Mo's" in Connecticut used to offer that service years ago as well.

I remember Mo's, I still use several of his case gauges for checking case growth/sizing. Really neat tools to use.

Is he still around?
