Yeah, I can be grumpy but I'm not that old. There are much older and grumpier people on this board than me.
Welcome to the M14/M1A world! We like proper terminology when speaking of a revered old warhorse. There is no "crossbolt" on an M14, there are stock liner screws though. Likewise there is not a "fire control group", there is a trigger assembly though.
Knowing the proper names means you have at least researched the weapon system and have an understanding of its parts.
Good natured ribbing is just that, good natured.
