Need trigger job on new M1A Standard

My trigger on the new Standard is 6# and relatively smooth but would like it to be 4.5 to 4.75, After checking on line, seems the trigger mechanism on the SAI is only hardened about .010 or so.

Wonder if there is someone reasonably priced that would change the necessary parts to USGI and come up w/a trigger pull in my range. Can't afford a complete new USGI trigger housing group.

I like the 2 stage trigger as that is what I was trained on.

Thanks

Send it off to get the pull weight lowered to 4.75 lbs. Cost is about $45 or so. JY Wolfe, Ted Brown, and several others. Personally, I'd send it to an M1/M14 smith.

You could just put a USGI trigger and hammer in your group, then see where it is at. When I did that, my results were excellent without a trigger job.
