adding spacer to GI Stock for Polytech M14?

Someone said that because the polytech M14s/305 im getting has been dropped into a US Polymer stock i need to add a spacer to the full auto inlet on the stock so the oprod spring doesnt come loose and jam my rifle up???

I think that what you heard was about the connector lock. On the Chicom the lock is shorter that USGI and can come loose and allow the Oper spring guide to come loose and cause problems. I have changed out all my Chinese connector locks to USGI. Problem solved. Some folks just glue a shim in the stock where the connector lock sits to keep the shorter locks from coming loose.

CHEAP FIX IS TO DEGREASE THE AREA AND PUT A PIECE OF TAPE OVER IT, THE CONNECTOR LOCK IS FLAT EVEN WITH THE RECEIVER OF A POLY, i HAVE YET TO HAVE A PROBLEM

sorry for my terminology being off, i wasnt being eloquent.

I thought about tape, didnt think it would work, also maybe a drop of superglue or loctite, same as i do for screws on rifles, and easy enough to 'break' the bond as needed

Got it now, Connector Lock, Connector lock Pin, op-rod, spring guide etc
