Have you ever attended the 'Colorado Collectors Show' in North Denver in May of each year?

Once I'm long gone from this world to the other,
I suspect my ghost will still be wondering up and down
the isles, snapping hammers..

Last fall a buddy and I went to Louisville, only time I had ever been there. Between parking and admission we spent about $50. Sure were a lot of tables. Lot of Winchesters, very litlle M14 or militaria stuff. I can say I've gone, but don't know if I would go back.

About the only good thing I will say about living in Commiefornia aside from the handgun laws being less of a PITA than Norf Commielina, the Del Mar fairgrounds gun show was BIG, had tables for what seemed like miles, and one guy always had a massive table loaded with gun parts, to the point where I now have a trunk full of mixed Mauser, Springfield rifle, and SKS that I could probably build rifles from them if I had receivers and stocks.

60 Tables....

700 tables....

1000 tables...

3000 tables...

The numbers are always impressive but how many of you would go if there was truth in advertising?

Like this ad:

"Gunshow this weekend. 1,000 tables. 45 tables have firearms. 5 are ammunition dealers. The other 950 tables are accessories, books, surplus, jewelry, and other non firearm related clap trap. Admission: $15. Parking : $10.00 Odds of finding exactly what you are willing to pay for: 3.6%"

Or this ad:

"Gunshow. 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Find exactly what you are looking for at exactly the price you are willing to pay. It's called the Internet."

Just went to the Del Mar show last week, could only get in for an hour or two. I usually like to wander about for around 3. But I was focused that day and got quite a bit of shopping done and surprised myself on deals on ammo and there is still one guy that handles m1, m1 Carbine, m14 all at the same table. He cuts deals and does not dilly dally with tax. Always fun to be able to see and feel it. Got a Rockola recoil plate for my carbine, $25 for a GI fiberglass stock (needs some TLC) and if I had been smart, I would have gotten the hand guard removal tool for m1/m1a.

The OC show is usually bigger, but I always end up back at that guys table too!
